Painting Fourteen - The Lineup

This is my latest picture from the Fish Pier series done in pen/watercolor. Good idea to use pen versus pencil - very forgiving and supports subsequent washes very well.  I am happy with the drawing and general composition but I could have better defined the light source.  The lesson today is that sometimes you just have to make up shadows to reinforce form.  I am never totally happy with anything I paint.
