Winter One

I got the idea for this painting from a screensaver I saw on tv this morning.  If you have on demand you can see the original inspiration by clicking on top picks, yule log and more, winter one.  As you can see I took great liberties with the composition.  This is an example of how we as artists can only give our impression of a scene whether plein air or from a photo.  As a matter of fact, i only did a sketch of the television scene and then painted using the sketch as my guide.  It was a lot of fun to do and I hope you like it.
