Christmas Arrangement

Yesterday my son Noel dropped by and brought me and Denise this beautiful Christmas arrangement for our table.  It came from Stapleton Floral in Southie and I just love their work; bright red and green flowers sitting in a rectangular glass container filled with cranberries and silver bells for an added Christmas touch.  I just had to sketch this arrangement and share it with my friends.  Flowers are always fun to paint.  They don't move around and you can really go wild with the colors without worry about going over the top.  I'm happy with this sketch and know that long after the actual flowers are gone I will still have this portrait to remind me of my son and the joy of the Christmas season.  Cheers!
