Naples Pier

This is the first sketch I have done in Naples.  It is the far end of the historic pier built in 1895 shortly after the town was founded.  It is a popular location for tourists, fishermen and artists of all kinds.  Looking at it now gives me the idea that it would make a neat tee shirt design.  The supporting posts under the pier could easily be arranged to spell Naples Fl and the silhouette shape could stand out nicely against any color shirt.  Oh well, if I cared more about making money I would follow up on the idea but I don't and I won't.  I am going on a guided tour of the historic cottages of Naples later this week.  This will give me plenty of fodder for drawing and/or painting.  I am rather rusty and have been spending most of my free time practicing my guitar so I'm looking forward to the tour.  Ciao for now.
