This is a greeting card I did using watercolor and pastel sticks.  I got the idea from an old movie I watched this morning.  I paused the video and did some thumbnail sketches.  When the movie was done I went to the drawing board and laid in some subtle graded washes with watercolor and then enhanced some sections with pastel.  The lesson here is to always be open to painting opportunities.  When something attracts you, try to capture it.
