Broadway in Color
Tuesday, August 9, 2011
Here is the colored version of the Broadway Station sketch. One of my friends on facebook said she liked the black and white version better and I guess I agree. I think black and white sketches add one more opportunity for the viewer to become involved in the art process. The suspension of disbelief necessary to believe an impression made with line is reality is made greater by asking the viewer to also add color from his or her imagination. It is a nice day today and I hope to go out and do another Southie scene this morning.
