Mel's Boats

I painted this from a photo provided by Mel Stabin.  While I made several changes to improve the design and strengthened the lighting and color scheme, it still wasn't my original photo or composition.  The good news is that Mel, who is a world-class painter and instructor said this painting was "excellent" in his critique.  For that reason I will never sell this painting.  I will have it professionally matted and framed and hang it in my home to remind me of Mel and a wonderful week of painting with the Newton Watercolor society.
