Notan Study for watercolor

As the title says this is a notan study for a watercolor I intend to paint tomorrow.  I used chalk and marker on gray pastel paper to indicate my three major values and to assure the balance of light and dark in the scene.  I am very happy with the result.  The challenge will be to keep the light tone of the buildings when I use their pastel local colors.  Can't wait to tackle this one.
