Study for Boatyard at Castle Island

5 minute value study from a photo I took yesterday at Castle Island.  I'll bet nobody noticed these shapes before.  These are two little buildings near the play area at the Island. There is a fence surrounding them and I never see any one walking or working in there.

  There was a purple boat between the buildings and in my sketch I have not committed to placing it in front or behind the front building.  I intend to feature the purple shape by raising the front edge of the boat so it breaks the plane, creating a more interesting white shape.  I moved the left building over and created a dark door that I think needs to be widened even more.  I also think I will put some wild flowers in front to play with color more.  Blue green, blue, violet and some yellow/orange for contrast in the flowers.
