Second in the series. In this case I wanted to show students the importance of balance of lights and darks and another example of figures. When I've finished the painting I always review the work the next day with fresh eyes to see if any easy fixes can be made. Sometimes during this process I get lost in the scene itself and actually feel like I am walking on that snowy trail. I'm glad I added the young lady and even let her walk Bruno. This is what motivates me to paint the next one. It keeps me going. Like Jack LaLane said: I can't die now it would ruin my image.
