Dusk at Bourne

This is only the second painting I have completed since returning from Florida.  This particular watercolor was done from a photo taken this summer at a friend's summer home on the water in Bourne.  I was struck by the beautiful sky at dusk and I am quite pleased with the quality of this piece.  Watercolor is all about careful planning and quick execution. As the famous watercolor teacher Edgar Whitney said: "Plan like a turtle and paint like a rabbit."
